Orthokeratology
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) is a non-surgical vision correction technique that uses custom designed contact lenses to reshape the cornea while you sleep. This process temporarily corrects refractive errors, such as nearsightedness (myopia), astigmatism, and, in some cases, presbyopia. The lenses are worn overnight, and the cornea is gently reshaped to improve vision during the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses.
Scleral
Scleral lenses are a type of custom contact lens designed to cover the entire corneal surface and rest on the white part of the eye (the sclera). These lenses are particularly beneficial for patients with specific eye conditions, such as keratoconus, severe dry eye, and other corneal irregularities. They offer several benefits and are an excellent treatment option.
Gas permeable lenses are a type of contact lens made from rigid, oxygen-permeable materials. They are a great option for patients with a high astigmatism or those seeking an alternative to soft lenses, gas permeable lenses offer several advantages, including improved visual clarity, better oxygen transmission, and long-lasting durability.
Hybrid
Hybrid lenses combine the visual clarity of rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses with the comfort of soft lenses, making them an ideal choice for many patients. These lenses allow for high oxygen transmission, ensuring healthy eyes while providing excellent vision.
Prosthetic lenses are designed to mimic the appearance of a natural, healthy eye in cases of medical conditions or injury that affect the eye’s appearance. They can serve both functional and cosmetic purposes. These lenses are typically custom-made for patients who have lost part of their eye’s structure, or whose eye appearance has been altered due to injury, disease, or congenital conditions.
