Dr. McDonald grew up locally in Jaffray and completed high school at Mount Baker. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in Oregon. After graduation he did further training and completed a Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lenses. This was his stepping stone to working for three years as associate professor of ophthalmology where he advanced his dry eye management skills, was a founding member of the facial paralysis clinic, and fit countless complex contact lens cases. He has returned back to the sunny Kootenays with his family and is excited to offer his skills in hard to fit contact lenses, orthokeratology, and dry eye, in addition to routine eye exams and other ocular disease.
